Project description
Ritual as Method: Research Book is a research publication developed alongside the diploma project Translocal Theater. It investigates ritual as a spatial and performative system through perspectives from sociology, performance studies, and Chinese ritual traditions. The research examines how space, objects, participants, performance, and rules collectively construct ritual experiences, moving from theoretical frameworks and historical references to contemporary cultural practices such as the Palace Banquet. The book ultimately explores how these mechanisms can be translated into architectural and spatial design.
